Kara Rock is a former Lucy Mission ambassador through the L’Space Academies at Arizona state university. She previously completed her undergraduate degree in Physics education at the University of South Florida, where she focused on broader impacts in scientific learning.
Through her involvement with the L’Space program at Arizona State University, Kara gained invaluable experience in NASA mission design, proposals, and public outreach. Her passion for space exploration led her to pursue a master’s degree in space policy, international relations, business, and leadership within the Thunderbird school at ASU.
Kara is driven by a desire to apply research on biological systems and their environments to practical solutions for Earth and future space habitats. She is dedicated to advancing our understanding of these interactions to promote sustainable practices and ensure the well-being of our planet and potential future homes beyond.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Kara enjoys exploring new places, listening to music, and dancing.
